The view from the 3rd level 2 bdrm apt is outstanding, and it is also gorgeous to look up at the moon and stars from the pool/jacuzzi area at night. It is so peaceful and tranquil if you need to revive yourself. We ate some delicious bananas from their fruit trees and enjoyed star gazing in the hot jacuzzi. The room was spacious and there is a standing fan in each room, which is all we needed to be cool and sleep soundly. It is a cute B&B type space that my 16 yr old daughter and I really enjoyed. Thai is also a perfect place to stay if you need to be close to the airport.

I enjoyed my stay at Kona
I was upgraded to an oceanfront view, which was fabulous even though I didn’t eat at restaurants I prefer cooking my own meals. I had a very relaxed vacation. Wish I could’ve stayed longer, but I do want everyone to know that this place was fabulous.

We loved the island.
We loved the island. The ocean, the colorful flowers, shrubs and trees. We did an amazing all day tour to the coffee farm, the volcano national park, black sand beach, lava tube, water falls and valley. We also did an absolutely stunning tour of the Mauna Kea summit to watch the sunset, star gaze and telescope close ups of the moon, Jupiter and stars clusters. Our Manta Ray tour was cancelled due to bad sea conditions, which I appreciated very much their safety concerns over profits.
It’s a beautiful island with lots of sights to visit and things to do.

Huggo's On The Rocks and Foster's Kitchen were 2 of our favorite restaurants to dine at.
Manta Ray Adventures night snorkel was a blast!!!!
Historical harbour cruise was fun and informative.
Royal Kona luau (voyagers of the pacific) was terrible.
If you have a rental car, it is very easy to get around the island for a day trip.

The coffee was amazing, the food was great (although the restaurants were very crowded). Public parking was hard to come by and paid parking was very expensive. Get a rental car and you are in a good central location to hike, visit the volcano, and from all the shopping and touristy things to do.

First of all, this was not the room that was pictured on booking.com. I ended up in a tiny little corridor, claustrophobic, feeling room with a toilet that just kept running, and a lanai door that would not open. Clearly, this did not just happen it was like rusted shut and should never have been rented in such condition. I have reached out to the property I’ve reached out to booking.com. No one has called me or emailed me. I uploaded videos to prove what a mess this place was.

Paying to park anywhere near the waterfront was expensive.
Paying to park anywhere near the waterfront was expensive. There were a lot of what seemed to be homeless people on the waterfront as well. We actually rented a car and drove almost entirely around the island seeing as much as possible. We enjoyed having a beer at Da Shark Shack. Driving south we had a few scenic areas that gave information on the lava fields that was interesting. Many of the Shoreline Public Access areas either didn't have any where to park or the shoreline wasn't really user friendly
I booked this resort through Hawaiian airlines as a package deal, but for some wierd reason it came up in my booking.com account which meant I had 2 bookings and had to cancel one, the resort was very accommodating and helpful to sort it out.
This resort is awesome, a little old and dated in parts but everything you need for a great stay, the pool is massive with heaps of space for everyone, even has a slide. Staff are fantastic and extremely helpful, the rooms was large and had a great bed.
The location is great, close to Kailua's center. However we ended up taking the car each time to save 15 min walk. The Honl's beach near by is very convenient but the high surf during our stay made swimming impossible.
The lanai is very pleasant for watching local surfers and offers a beautiful view of the cove in front of hotel.
Beach gear was available
The staff is exceptionally great and very helpful!
They were courteous and polite.
The beach was clean and the barbque on the beach were very planned by the resort
The pool on the beach was very clean and the building quiet
Lots of car parking spaces
The deli next door is open very comfortable
The travel is easy to international airport
The location is great! It is very convenient as it is in the center of the village. The beaches are all nearby, and several are within walking distance. Also quite near is the main nightlife of the place. The hotel itself is very comfortable, and the staff is friendly. Finally, it has a super cool Luau show! Totally worthy.
Clean and beautiful property. The space has everything you need and in our opinion was better than a hotel room because it had in unit kitchen, washer and dryer, and lots of space. You are located close to downtown (10 minutes tops) and many cute food and coffee spots. Would definitely come back!
Nothing ! The rooms were in dyer need of refurbishment!! The patio balcony had Mammoth sized cracks bordering on unstable. The bathtub was disgusting ! Left the hotel immediately after viewing the property.
Staff was friendly and understanding!
Very chic hotel with elements of modern minimalist look and a hip/cool feel. Right in the heart of Kona tourist area with lots of shops and restaurants in walking distance. When we asked about a microwave, they sent one to our room immediately.
Simple hotel, in good location in Kona. We used this the night after our flight into Kona, and the night before our departure, and the rooms are clean, nice showers, and the price is quite competitive. Would go again.
Location was excellent near Kailua-Kona. Host had many of the conveniences of home ready to go... clean dishes, soap, pans, toiletries, etc. There were also lots of beach items that we could use while there.
Great large apartments. I like that they have invested in solar panels and that the AC turns off when the balcony door are open. Great parking spaces, comfy beds. Reasonably close to Kailua-Kona centre.
No breakfast offered. It's a nice, smaller hotel, conveniently located to town and a small beach. Wish there was a pool. Rooms are not cleaned or straightened during stay.
